First off, thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about the writer behind the posts. I know the odds of stumbling across the tiny microscopic portion of the internet are not likely, so here you are, you rare gem! I’m Cassandra, but I also am called Cass for short because three syllables is too long to say, pronounce, and write. I’m currently twenty-three (I’ll probably forget to look back on this and I’ll actually be twenty-six, haha, so as of February 2016, I’m twenty-three) and a close-to-graduating undergrad student majoring in biology and minoring in health professions through Texas Tech University. I have a renewed love for life after surviving brain surgery in December 2015 to correct the flow of my cerebral spinal fluid. I have Chiari Malformation and bulged discs which contributes to chronic pain, but I am working on managing it and gaining new light. I originally started this blog to help with my anxiety and fears about being sick; I needed a platform to express my concerns and have the ability to reach out to others, so I started this lovely blog. My blog now has expanded into an extensive ever-going about me portfolio: fashion and style bits, my undying love for dogs, and the trivial everyday life. I am engaged and love traveling with my best friend, Caleb.
Part two to the “Us” is my best friend, Mavis, a rambunctious pug puppy who came into my life in March of 2016. I have had an unhealthy obsession with pugs, hence the name of my blog, since I was about six and have been gifted many different pug themed items over the years. My mom even got me an “I love my pug” sun catcher when I was thirteen despite not having a pug (oh moms). Mavis, or Mae Mae, came home on March 6, 2016 and has been by my side ever since. We’re inseparable. She currently is serving as my emotional support animals and is my little biff.
Thanks for getting to know us! Please feel free to ask any questions or leave a comment about you and your best friend. Mav and I love getting to know new people!
